Yesterday I replaced my broken exhaust system with new bn-pipes. From the cat to the end all in ss 70mm diameter. Saved me a few kg on weight and the sound now is as it should be. Now the car would need some more modifications under the bonnet. It sounds like a monster only. No doubt here are the experts to ask. My dream is still an upgrade to 2.5l and RS stuff. custom map would give a lot of torque on low revs.

The battery of the camera was empty so I had to recharge it first. Pics are still not made. They will follow shortly.
I spent last weekend at the German A2 owners club meeting in Dresden and drove 1900 km. It looks almost like stock except the shiny look. Actually I should record the sound of it. It feels like the reduced back pressure resulted in a better response at lower revs. Higher revs are almost impossible in Switzerland as I would risk my driving license.Marcel

Well it's a straight fit. It is much easier to fit as the original system. thanks to some intelligent brackets. Very convenient installation. The sound inside the cabin is noticeable. Never annoying but always present. It sounds like it should sound. And I have the feeling that the engine revs easier. You can listen to it on youtube. It's not my car but should be the same system.
You can be sure people turn their head when you pass them.
Inside it soulds like that.

I don't know if it really sounds like that as I drive it and can't likten to it from that position.

After less than 300km the exhaust is already covered with soot. I am surprised as I revved the engine always above 2000RPM. Is there something wrong? Maybe a hair crack in a manifold? Other leak?Marcel
