Hi does anyone one have one of these or have a supplier for one ,i will need one of these to work with the MTM engine conversion ,i would do a deal on some RS2\CUP REPS if anyone is interested thanks ,i would like to get this done for the RR at the end of september
Do NOT buy these things off eBay at that price unless they are original Bosch MAP sensors (or professionally rescaled ones). There are alternatives available very cheaply from electronics suppliers... At almost a tenth of that price.
330398260514 and 220526321284 look like same Moto 300kPa sensor... Very expensive price for a device that costs 10-15 Euros from online electronics stores. I have used these to good effect. Only niggle I have with them is getting the boost pipe to feel tight enough as there is no barb or hump on the device to help with a good seal. Tis very annoying as the packaging options from Moto on their 250Pa device includes one with a barbed pipe and it works lovely... I am pretty certain the VMAP guys used some variant of the Moto sensor in their product, but I dunno how they got it packaged in the superior casing. I've not had time to investigate it much.
Those part numbers are odd. Can't find anything using them.
Found two datasheets:
The 3 bar map sensor is not a perfect match, it's 0.3 to 4.9V and at 4.9V it is 304kpa. While the error is fairly small (maximum 5%), it's still not perfect:
I guess it is possible to modify the input voltage slightly for the 3 bar sensor, but it'd be nicer to have something that matches better.
For the Bosch sensor I found the formula to be:
output = pressure in bar * 1,60714 - 0,02143
The formula for the motorola (freescale) sensors can be taken from the datasheets.
So my question is (probably to Paul, as always), are you compensating for the slight difference or do you have another sensor in mind?
