Visiting Oxford+ near areas, advice please!

Im planning a trip next weekend along with the bank holiday and will be staying in Oxford. O have been told about the Cotswolds and it would be nice to see a few areas around there,but i have no clue were it is best to stay/visit.

I will be seeing Blenheim palace and driving around a bit i guess, and then im looking to stay on a B&B around the Gloucestershire area, so that i can begin the trip back north on Monday.

any suggestions are welcome!

Bourton on the water is a lovely place, went there on saturday for a meal.

just remember oxford isn't the most car friendly place if you go into the actual city (top gear found that out)

Some nice places up towards gloucester, the place I mentioned above is that way, plus you may get lucky and see ross driving around.

i have booked a B&B in oxford near the city center,so i will be walking there mostly!
