how much worth?

been offered a 2.3 cab with projector lights and an rs2 style ( not sure if genuine) front bumper
leather interior, big wheels ( but very dirty)
wondering if its worth buying as a breaker
any rough prices or interest stated please and i may buy the car if i can sell enough to break even at least

The late cabs fetch good money if they are tidy - if the price is right it might be better off tidying it up and selling it in one piece Dave

might a final edition cab...and in the right colour are sweet...

if its a 2.3 it wont be a final edition. Its probably had the later final edition bumper and elipsoid headlights retro fitted. Cab prices are through the floor atm so depending on how much you can get it for id say break it.

was an accidental find really.
went there after 15 inch tyres for the gt ive bought ( theyre same as cosworth size, at the breakers where i was)
noticed the cab outside and saw the bumper was different etc, then just asked the guys in there and it belonged to one of them
said it was for sale and gave me a reasonable price but i ll still try to knock it down
i ll have another look to see if its a real bumper, any way of telling?
leather was good apart from driver s seat, didn t take much notice of the rest as i was more bothered about tyres
anyone have a pair of part worn 205 50 15, only want them to pass mot then it s going on 14s with new tyres if it passes

if its a final edition bumper itll have plastic vents, rs2 one will be metal mesh. Both should have the rounded indicators/fogs. If its a rep then chances are itll have normal coupe fogs/indicators

i ve just seen a final edition bumper on ebay
centre section is lower on the car i looked at, like an rs one, final edition looked all same height
i ll go and offer him few hundred less for it as its not standard! and see what he says

aye that sounds like the rs2 one. Also easy way to tell is if it has small round washer jets on top, if its not it is a copy
