A Pigeon killed it self on my RS2 wing mirror

    Hey guys

I was out taking a drive in my RS2 on the highway down to our beach house, when a Pigeon suddenly choose to kill it self on my left wing mirror. I believe it died. Fortunately my speed was only about 130 / 140 KPH otherwise the wing mirror probably would have smashed the side window. The Pigeon’s suicide has resulted that the little plastic wheel that runs the engine which makes the mirror go left and right is crushed.
Would like to hear, if anyone knows, if you just can order the mechanism inside the wing mirror, or whether I must buy a brand new RS2 mirror.
    Kind regards
    Phillip Kjær Ballegaard

i have never seen the mechanism itself being sold... However you could ask for the pigeon's parents to pay for the damage...At least it may be a bit cheaper.

Did the pigeon leave any last words? letters or anything? Did it want to be killed by an RS2? fetish maybe?

Must be an Audi thing - a grouse (we think) did exactly same to us in the family bus in Scotland last year - makes quite a 'wump' and the display of disconnected feathers was quite impressive. Twas a quick death alright.

did you chuck it in the back and have it for tea. the grouse not the piddy.

            although piddy pie...

once hit a cat in the corrado. G60 splitters are tough.

lots of little plastic wheels on heater boxes if all else fails.

I took a bird (skata in swedish, kinda big sucker) in my right headlight in ~180km/h while driving to my girlfriends father (he lives some miles outside the city..) and the ONLY thing that broke was the lightbulb, nothing else.. LUCK? heeeeell yes <:

At first I thought the entire thing went as the sign for "broken lamp(s)" started flashing instantly >: but sometimes lady luck prevails!

Reminds me of when one hit the front edge of the bonnet on the 'ring at about 120mph. It just dived into the car suicide style.

Left a nice splatter all the way down the side of the car and windows.

hehe, aint that something? in my case there were actually 3 birds taking off/lifting from the right side of the road (the side we drive on in sweden) and flying towards the left side of the road, then one of them just decided, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH and dove into my car, mother"%&"%"%& <:

Sidenote: I saw a squirrel get sucked through a JA37 viggen fighter aircraft on the base once.. that was nasty <: they had it tied to the ground in an open hangar while doing some engine checks <: (my father is a fire-chief for the military)

Had a pigeon fly straight into the front grill of the Mk4 Golf a few weeks ago at 75mph... it was almost worth it to see the cars behind dissapear into a mass of feathers, was rather amusing, until I found it had punched out the VW badge and shattered the inner grill in the process! Need to get a replacement off the 'bay...
