    wtf! all those astons!
couldn t bare to look any further.
If they were recycled in th enormal way at least spares could keep other cars going.
who the hell wants a new kia when they can pay the same money for a good s2 or similar
i could get £2k for my discovery, but whatever i buy new it wouldn t do the same jobs for the rest of the money i could put to it ( whats down back of settee at moment!)

But surely... if I took a £5,000-worth old car in and asked for scrappage, wouldn't the sales guys use their sense and offer me £3,000 part-ex instead of just the scrappage.. that way I get a better deal and they can sell it on for profit. I can't believe any car sales rep worth their money would NOT do this.

BTW I think th scrappage is

1- a con, as you can get better deals by haggling (and buying brand new is a depreciation nonsense)
2- un green because of the waste, fasilure to recycle and the inherant pollution in producing a new car
3- why support the car industry in this way when other industries have to survive in the real world
