Best stuff for re-fitting rear badge?

My S2 came debadged but has the old badge in the glove box. What's the best stuff to use to re-attach it? All the sticky foam stuff I can find in the shops is white!

My OOOO badge has come loose so I'd be interested in opinions on how best to reattach.

        cheers,
        Tom

The OOOO one comes with sticky tape already attacked, probably worth buying another one rather than trying to faff about sticking it on.

I think they were about £8 from VAG Parts back in the day.

The rear s2 badge can be stuck back on with normal trim tape you get from halfords, just make sure the surface is clean and dry when you apply it.

For the OOOOs I just cut slivers of tape and fitted them into the badge, worked fine for the last 18 months and counting... foam double sided tape for outdoor or car use, as Sonic says

Foam pads/tape is crap compared to the one I posted above

Buy a new one, they come with the backing and are only about a tenner ( IIRC )

(It will be hard to apply an aftermarket double sided tape efficiently).

                      Cheers,

                      Steve.

Putting new tape on is easy!
I just covered the whole thing on the back, then cut out the shape with a stanley blade.
Its got raised edges on the rear, so its really easy to get it neat and tidy just following the lines

That looks identical to the stuff i use for number plates, i've been pressure washing the coupe for five years now and they have never come loose.
