A new Renault Clio would be a better car to be in a crash, I think most most people on this forum agree with that ?.... just the same as a late model S2 would be better than a UR 20V

If the S2 was involved in a crash with a Clio, I think I'd rather be in the S2 because it weighs 400kg more.. Is it that too simplistic?

The mass of a vehicle is not quite the whole answer - and indeed, larger vehicles with large fairly flat panels have a habit of crumpling a lot worse than smaller sculpted panels ....but the structure of an S2 has been demonstrated to be pretty stout and I would say it's still very crashworthy.

Much as i hate to see an s2 smashed i would much rather be in the s2 as it has a crumple zone that is not your legs!
