Perhaps the Prime Minister should sack the morons running the CPS so inefficiently and replace them with more capable staff.

Tell me this is a joke - please.
If Gordon ****ing Brown wants some money back - he should be lifting out of the bonus cheques sent to the many employees of the various banks that the government (and I use the term loosely) bailed out recently. News this morning said there was going to circa 6 billion in xmas bonus cheques... While poor cants like me have had to eat a 20% pay cut. Gives me the right 'ump.Paul Nugent

Stuff like this would be normal and cheerfully accepted by the voters in semi-communist countries like Norway, but I'm surprised to see the government of a civilized country like England trying to pull a trick like this.1995 RS2 on Alcohol (6.8sec 100-200km/h)

This is abso-fvcking-lutely ridiculous. It's essentially saying that...I can simply see two effects from this:Originally posted by SubtextWe can't afford to pay for police mistakes by paying for lawyers to spot those mistakes, so we'll change the law so we don't have to pay, rather than stopping the mistakes in the first place.- More tickets - the police now have absolutely no incentive to get it right - the individual will pick up the costs regardless of whether the case was right or wrong. (And please don't anyone start about police "professional pride" - those day glow idiots are more 9-5 merchants and pencil pushers these days than the Royal Mail.)
- Statistics will be trotted out to show that many fewer people are challenging their tickets, and this be used to demonstrate that the number of errors is dropping. This will of course be total carp (like many statistics). The real reason will be that people can't afford to challenge - errors will probably be rising, just unchallenged.
- This law change.
- How MPs can object to retrospective rule changes on their expenses when they retrospectively changed vehicle tax disc cost bands on the entire country. Bastrad hypocrits.
- MPs expenses - I know my MP isn't squeaky clean.
Shocked, exhausted, hosed, bushed, dumped, chipped, mounted, filtered, gauged, packed, intermittantly wiped and braked. I mean broken. Now, about the car...Comment

Signed and completely speechless. Thin end of the wedge and will not be long before no-one can contest anything unless they are the likes of David Beckham, (money no issue).

Not many moons (centuries) this type of behaviour/ governmental ignorance would not have gone unanswered.
I agree with the petitions (which I just signed) and making noises; but in reality action is reqiured. My s81thole of a kingdom!!!!! I propose a fairer society where those responsible for such ridiculous decisions could have faces put to names - this would allow us to arrive at the MoJ on masse and enact our revenge. I am in favour of stripping said guilty individuals and liberally paint them from foot to toe in paint stripper - after a few hours of 'screaming to be killed rather than continue to endure this incredible agony' I would like to suggest tying head, arms and feet to 5 of our hottest I5 bad boys and literally ripping them to pieces - I am looking for a high quality Youtube candidate.
OK - so I am raising a few eye brows - and some of the bleeding liberals might not agree with my 'no-nonsense' approach - but consider this: if you were in a position to make change on a national level, but knew that abusing such power would result in your most grizzly demise - would you even contemplate ******* with the great unwashed if justice had a more personal implication????
These 'decision makers' are fully aware how unjust this, both legally and morally - but they couldnt give a **** about you or I - these are the people in charge - the ones that wouldnt give us the time of day!!!
We are adrift in a sea of complete C................................................. ..........
