    Recommend me a battery charger

After a haklf decent (car)battery charger for good money. Won't be used that often so no need for anything mega, but want a decent quality one that will last. Any recommendations?

    Just bought one of these

Really good build quality, fully automatic, and it has an 80amp jump start facility, £45 from Costco.

Have one of those two ^^^ can't fault it and the leads are a decent size too, but also use a trickle charger from Halfords which I leave connected 24/7.

I have a CTEK 3600 which seems to do a good job but can be a bit tempramental when it comes to selecting the mode. Bit annoyed as I haven't used it much and it was £50+.

Was hoping not to spend that much really, is that how much a charger worth owing costs? This is only the 3rd time in 10 years that i've needed a battery charger!

You're joking aren't you.. some of the more expensive CTEK chargers that do sustained loads are £280+.

You said you wanted something half decent! This is Halfords offering, trust me the Ring charger is light years ahead in terms of quality and capacity.

I have the ctek and its perfect. It will charge a battery from stone dead in a few hours and is great as a trickle charger as well when the car is in storage....

CTEK 3600 works very well indeed.
Fully automatic, of course. You do not need to unplug the battery. De-sulphates lightly sulphated batteries (this is what kills batteries), so it extends battery life.

CTEK exists to develop and market innovative, safe, easy‑to‑install, and user‑friendly battery charging products for all types of vehicles, as well as complete charging solutions for electric vehicles.

                        I use this - http://www.oxford-shop.co.uk/item3271.htm

Works a charm! Especially if you don't use your car that that often.

Yup, I attached a cigarette lighter plug to that ring terminal lead, so I just have to plug it into the cigarette lighter to charge. Handy when I run a 14amp battery and some accessories that pull some current.
