there are quite a few 3B's for sale in the Netherlands, from €4500,- to about €7000,- so there are more for sale now compared to october, and prices dropped a bit.

These prices are amazing considering how little Coupe's are fetching over here...

Might have to do a LHD conversion..

sorry this is not a professional fix, but I just shoved some black mastic down the side of the windscreen seal two years ago and put a stop to a leak there.

Mind, there was also a weird way the water came around the door seal above the hinge... and used to creep past the door seal into the interior... and I stopped that by pulling a line of mastic about a quarter inch raised up round the inside edge of the door jamb, , which makes sure the run-off from the bonnet/top of the metal part of teh door, runs DOWN and not inwards. Has been dry for two years.

Oh and I also have a small pack of dehumidifier granues which I leave on the back parcel shelf to stop the condensation
        SOLD !

for info, not a decent ABY coupe for sale bellow 10 000 € for a while !!

only 13 for sale on mobile.de, average price : 15 000 €, well , think that can be called inflation ! and with oldtimer age coming quickly, we could see some hefty prices upgrade like in the porsche 964, 993 market...

            time will tell

I think this thread just goes to show what a state the UK economy is really in? Ive had my aby coupe for 12 years and gladly paid £16k for it and funny enough could have sold it for a £2k profit 2 weekends later as this guy thought it was totally amazing because of the condition mine is in I would never ever consider selling mine for any less than £7k but in reality il be lucky to get £5k its mental Anybody in Germany want an immaculate black S2 95 coupe for 18000 euros

The real problem with the UK is that:
                      1. It is a closed market due to right hand drive.
                      2. You guys have to pay absolutely mental insurance.

These two points together make older performance cars almost worthless in the UK, as the insurance and running costs are so high that you can buy a much newer car for almost the same money.

Any car popping up on mobile.de can instantly go to any country in the EU.
In case of my country at least 80% of cars here are imported from Germany. The fact that insurance is very low (140 EUR a year for my RS4) and the same for any car over 220hp makes it a much more interesting market.

                        Not always.
My S2 was under £300 for a year, and my RS4 is under £400.
Considering a young lad in a 1.0 Corsa or Saxo pays over £2000 or even more than that, Id say mine is rather cheap in comparison

I suspect that values for S2s in the UK are probably bottoming out, if not now, then soon.

I would predict that values for good condition, near-stock S2s may well increase slightly from here onwards.

Price being a function of supply and demand, prices have fallen until now due to the natural fall in demand that occurs as any product ages. Now, demand will probably flatline, or even increase due to moving in age from 'old' to 'classic'. Essentially, we're at the point where the age of the car stops making it less desirable, and starts making it more desirable.

On the other hand, from what I see, supply is falling. Accidents, breaking for profit, general attrition, use for track/major-mods, use as engine donors...

Does anyone have any data on the 'death rate' of S2s, by the way?

don t forget that the number of S2 sold in uk during those years (91-96) was very high compare to the rest of europe, the economy was booming and you were and are still all petrolheads on the island !
So the second hand market as it is now, reflects this : quite a decent number for sale. Driving across europe several times for the last 4 years, i can t remember crossing another S2 coupe on the road...ha yes, i remember : one with a UK plate in Verbier !
