S2 central I need access to the immobilizor wiring sheets

engine cranks and fuel pump comes on and fuel is in the rail. No fuel being injected into IM and no spark. I shot some starting fluid into the IM and cranked car not even a pop or fizzle.

Could the immobilizor shut off the injectors and spark but allow the car to crank?

I just replaced the cam pos sensor which was bad. I would get crank but no fuel pump. Codes indicated bad CPS. replaced it and now have fuel at the rail and no bad CPS code.

I now get bad Crank POS Sensor and Speed sensor. Replaced both with known good sesnors but still get a code for one or both.

    Any ideas?

    TIA

The codes are what's stopping the injectors firing.

Fix the codes and the car will likely run

yeah - you won't get fuel pumping until engine speed sensor tells ECU that the crank is turning fast enough.

Check the wiring from ECU to G4 and G28 - also check/replace both of those sensors... Might you have crossed the wires when swapping them over alreday ?

        checked some wires.....

I check continuity in the wires going from ecu connector pins 47 48 and 49 to the speed and crank sensor connectors and got continuity.

My fuel pump IS activating when I crank the engine. Fuel pump relay in the fuse panel is activating also when engine is cranked. fuel is in the rail also. Nothing is being shot into the IM. Injectors are not opening nor is there any spark. Starting fluid has been shot into IM with no ignition whats so ever. No raw fuel oder can be detected by smell.

I swapped out 3 sets of known "good" speed and crank sensors and getting the same two codes.

Flywheel is a brand new Fidanza. no broken teeth.

Any more suggestion would be greatly appreciated Paul!

        TIA

          Is it 3B, ABY, AAN?
          What car is it in?
Does it have the timing marker pin for TDC still intact i n the engine side of the flywheel?

If 3B Is the rotor arm spinning on the dizzy.
If ABY,ADU, AAN does the cam position sensor give correct readings?

This is a AAN engine converted to ADU hardware with ABY looms.

            RS2 ECU

The TDC pin was in the back side of the flywheel when I installed it a few weeks ago.

The Cam sensor was replaced just a few days ago. It was dropping a code and not sending signal for fuel relay and pump. Now that it has been replaced I do not get a CPS code and the relay and pump do come on when the engine is cranked.

I would just take the timing pin sensor out and see if the pin is still intact.

Check all the ECU loom fuses to make sure they are ok.

Take the cover off the Fuel pump relay and push the contact to see if it pumps the fuel

If they are all fine then check the 4 Earth conections to the ECU loom.

If that is still not it borrow an ecu if that is possible to check if that makes the difference.

I just read you other post. I missed that.

If your fuel pump relay is being triggered then all the earths are ok. The timing pin and sensors are all ok. and the ecu is ok.

If it's just no spark and no injector fire then it has to be Cam sensor or corolation between the two.

Has it run since you swapped the flywheel? Is the TDC pin in the exact same location. I think it allows the pin to be 20° out on the first rotation.

Yes, I checked all the earths and they are grounded well and I checked the continuity of the wires. All showed good. Fuses checked many times and checked them for voltage.

Pump relay triggers as well as the pump. I can heard fuel in the rail being pumped in with a stetoscope.

Someone told me that the RS2 cam spocket's window is not the same as a AAN/ABY cam spocket. If iam using a RS2 ECU with a ABY/AAN spocket would the RS2 ECU sense the car is NOT in time and fail to fire???

THis is the first time for everything. I just swapped the engine ito the car. Theflywheel did work on my 3B powered engine previously.

                  thanks!

Then I would turn the engine over to get all the timing marks in line and remove the firing pin sensor and check the pin is in view. At least you will know if the pin is in the correct place. Not sure myself about the window on the cam gear AAN - ADU if they are in the same position
