Yeah, a few quick motors in there and a few big bruisers. It always makes me laugh how 0-60 times are quotes as gospel, anyone who has ever tried to match factory times will know that they'redamned hard to get close to and not wreck the car

Saph cossie or 5dr M3 is a nice option for some very un-Audi like entertainment MR2 turbos are seriously fast cars too.

K rephrase.... Saph cossi under 5k is possible but will be buying a high mileage ford dog with some silly additions from halfords!

            Also no 850-R,
Mitsi GTO is a hatefull car I'd never be seen in,
I'd give my right pinky for an S4 928,
I don't have enough Burberry clothing for an M3, Rather have the E39 M5,
I can see the attraction (now) of a Cossie, I just couldn't

I'd rather have an S2. Call me old fashioned.

                Not nessessarily!
You can easily get a decent looking/modded Cossie for well under 5k, although Id be very carefuly of a 100+k one that hasnt had a rebuild yet, and would probably be full of rot.
Personally I wouldnt touch a cheap one, as its a money pit time bomb

Surely you'd rather people don't know about the s2/urs4/urs6, for me it's kinda the point of owning one the fact no-one knows what it is! Wouldn't mind that v12 jag for a laugh though.

They are only looking at quick cars out of the box, where was the S4? What people dont realise is once remapped most of these cars become seriously quick.

And they'll still be within the 5k budget.

Agreed. A standard S2 is not that impressive performance wise these days.
The thing is, how many of those would you want to be seen in?
Id have another cossie, and was recently looking at E36 M3 prices, but apart from that you can keep the rest!

Hmm, the cars are rated by 0-60 times. Even a stock S2 coupe (0-60 in 5.7) would be right up there with the quickest of these.

My WRX was very quick but flimsy
