Yeah Ive done some tunes, not enough though! Need to get back in the studio...

This was the last solo release I had, hardcore breaks with a 96 jumpup style bassline

And a joint release with my mate, hardcore breaks experimental type thing!

    A short oldskool mix

And finally, my channel which has over 800 old tunes on

All the permutations of music will be burnt out by the year 2000 was something suggested to me a few years ago and now I am totally convinced that this statement is true. The word remix sends shivers down my spine! Sorry guys if I come from a period in time where musicians existed!

A classic, opinionated and elitist statement, no need to apologise for that dude

gotta say chezz i agree to an extent but have you heard orbital mix bon jovi, belinda carlisle and the darkness.

suppose mix and remix are 2 totally different things.

                  talent can still shine through

                    They are musicians.

Don't hate the technology that is used today because some sweaty man with long hair isn't rocking around a stage biting bats heads off.

And remember that even electric guitars have evolved alongside technology too....

And the Doctor Who theme tune, saw Orbital twice this year and that remix was brilliant!

Do agree to an extent though! Lots of music is **** and so are lots of remixes. But, sometimes a remix can turn a poor tune into gold dust. Remixes are much more likely to be good in dance genres because IMO Rock and Pop doesn't really remix well at all, unless 2manydj's are doing it that is.

Big dance dj's like armin van buuren seem to produce remixes of anthems from Oasis and the like which I can appreciate but as I'm not into housey stuff I find it quite boring. Also, the extent to these house "remixes" seems to be play a bit of house and then play a bit of Oasis and then a bit more house. Most of the time it seems that they haven't even mixed anything at all!

But, there are some supreme dnb, hardcore & old skool remixes which are the best tunes of the genre so I say remix away!

                          lol

dont think its the ozzfest in him. its more the can you not think of something yourself. no offence but to some it sounds like the school casio keyboard demos over what may have been a good record. this versus thing is all toss.

not particularly into the newer stuff myself. i cant really give good dnb examples but the prodigy for example. the never outgunned album was written on sw by liam in bed so ive read. is pretty ok comercial-experimental but will never have the fat of the land type feel. im no big prodigy fan i must say

each to their own especially in music. it can bring the snob out of everyone.. would be dull if the world just had half a dozen bands. without the crap how would we know whats good.

ill take a listen to those links though. i try to look to the skill/talent and not do i like it where possible.

A few of my favorite remixes, which are also among some of my favorite tunes of all time:

Prodigy - Voodoo people remixed by Pendulum

                            Tiësto - Adagio For Strings

John B - Up All Night (Epic Mix)

Don't have my Ipod with me at the mo so can't remember most of them...

But like you say each to their own!
