Very Very Lucky S2 - Cumbria Floods!!

This is really unreal, lucky, meant to be.. whatever you want to call it.....

My pride and joy has been off the road now since July 2008 for several reasons, mainly lack of finances and being made redundant etc. I stored her at my workplace undercover until I was paid off in April then I moved her to a garage in Carlisle called Autovolks.

There she sat for best part of 7 months and eventually passed MOT a couple of weeks ago. I collected her on Wednesday of this week and drove away.. an amazing feeling to be back behind the wheel..

Last night with all the rain we have here, Autovolks was flooded, lost 7 cars of which 4 were customers and £1 million pounds of damage!!!

I am very lucky to have her still.. must be fate!!

Glad to hear you got your car in time.

I feel sorry for all the people homes that have been flooded, I worked in Carlisle after the last floods and the devastation and upset caused to peoples lives is unreal. I stayed in hotels for 6 weeks and was pissed off, some of the "homeless" locals had been in the hotels for 9 months at the time. Used to sometimes drive along Warwick road to get to the hotel at Botchergate and that seemed the worst affected.
