Thats coz you were registered before all the spam from hotmail addresses resulted in the "banning" of them.
Hotmail and now gmail are no-goers.......

Over a period of time, spam from [alleged] hotmail and gmail addresses rocketed. But the reason for that is that usage of those services rocketed over the same period. I'll bet the admins here saw the same phenomenon.

If Google does for email service what it's done for searching (and I'm not convinced it will) then 95% of email will be handled by Google in a few years' time. And so will 95% of the spam.

I'm here now. My name is Jim Howard, I am one of the forum administrators at quattroforum.com

I'm sorry if genuinely interrested parties have had trouble registering, but the critisism has got pretty harsh pretty quickly, don't you think?
I have been completely oblivious to these registration attempts.

I think the problem is a simple technical one, and it's not us just being difficult or intentionally ignoring people.

When you try to register from a banned domain, you are given the option to "contact the administrator". I think the problem is that the request is then forwarded to the webmaster who owns / runs the domain, but is not generally involved in moderation / admin of the forum. I may be wrong about that - it may even go to a non-existant email account.

We will try to change this.

In the meantime, if any of you have trouble registering then send an email to quattroforumadmin[at]ntlworld.com with your intended user id and I'll set you up.

There may be a slight delay in this, as I'm away until Friday evening, posting using a GPRS mobile connection is slooow.

quattroforum.com problems should stay on quattroforum.com and not be brought to s2forum for resolution.

So I'll politely request if you have issues take it up directly on quattroforum.com with their administrators

The administrator has answered how to contact them to gain access.
