No one has mentioned or discussed insurance...the email is all i recieved which stated...
Unfortunately all parts are sent in at the owners risk and therefore in this case will not be replaced with new itemsCarlos.

edit: Re-read own post and decided it was inappropriate
They are obliged to replace or pay for replacement of goods if they haven't taken reasonable precautions to prevent loss or damage. As said before they have a 'duty of care' over anything that they are in charge of. How did the fire start? were they at fault?
The owners risk cr@p isn't worth the keyboard it was cheerfully tapped out on.
To be fair though he did say that they won't pay for 'new parts' maybe thats a standard rule for all people in your situation and with further dialogue/pressure you may come to some arrangement.
Best of luck

Shocking on both accounts that they suffer a major fire but also the loss of parts
I think they don't have to supply brand new as it would be like for like so most likely financial reimbursement for second hand parts. Sent in at owners risk would surely apply to courier stage where they hold no responsibility for lost or damaged goods in transit. Once in their posession they assume the care of the parts and should be covered under contents insurance.
I'd say you'll struggle getting any parts but if you can find the current prices of the parts second hand then they will most likely have to foot that bill. Best of luck and if I have anything on the list, which I doubt, I will donate free of charge.Jay - pug_life85@hotmail.com

Latest reply from PF...
Hi Carl
Thank you for your email and sorry for the delay in replying.
We do have your parts here and we can make them available to collect.
Unfortunately at this time we are not in a position to be able to send anything out.
Should you wish to collect please advise of a date and time and we will arrange for them to be made available.
Kind Regards

Carlos you can book a collection with parcelfore for £13.95 if you use the ebay seller unitedparcels, they will take everything up to 28kg. All PF have to do then is put them in a box.
May be easier then going to collect it.91 S2 coupé - RIP

Thanks Bo...was thinking a f2f might encourage them to see things from my side.
New parts, well that would be nice, but even 50% of new price would be fine...Carlos.
