What a nightmare. I hate the fact that most items on ebay.de you can't use Paypal and have some protection. Good luck

Second that, I've purchase a few RS2 bit's and bobs from the farther land, not once have I been able to use paypal, which I although I loath does offer some security.

Is there anyway of tracking this guy via his bank details? I'd always refused to part with any cash until being given a home address as well as bank details.

Anyway I hope you get this sorted.

They don't need to use it. Paypal charges money where as the bank transfer doesn't in Germany and most of europe

Cost £25 for one in the UK. Both suck

Interestingly when I sent some Euro's to Germany last week the bank in Germany took a 10 Euro commission from the guy in Germany.

If you have a multicurrency account then it costs nothing to send the Euro's from the Uk. You just have no security

                .

Does this 'multicurrency' account cost you?

Can you not transfer using a credit card?

                Sorry...doesn't help you now Tonks.

sorry to hear about that. what kind of feedback did the seller have? i bought a new RS2 turbo from eBay.de recently - made it a condition of the sale that the guy signed up to paypal for the transaction. he was fine with it. probably worth doing because there's no real reason for someone not to sign up for paypal is there?

I had this happen once with a £400 digital camera, the account that sold the cameras had been sold on the market it had over 2000 feedback at 100% positive. In under a week the guy that used the account had sold almost 30,000 euros worth of goods, There was a big police investigation and 4 months later ebay refunded me all the money even though it was paid via bacs. Its worth looking in to this as they are obliged to refund you even if you don't use paypal, at least thats how it used to be.

I have seen them charge 20EUR to my mate in Switzerland after I have paid 40USD on my end. One reason why I always buy lots of parts at once.
