    Finnish car insurance websites??

Any of the Finnish lads know a good website that compares car insurance across different companies? Is road tax somehow included within the insurance here?
My car is booked in for a test on Tuesday so hopefully i'll have Finnish plates in a couple of days. I thought I'd need Finnish plates to get insurance but my wife's father thinks I have to have the insurance sorted before I go in for the test?

    cheers

I haven't found any sites that can compare companys between. I think you just have to go to everyfirms own web site and fill in the details to have price on your insurance.

Pohjola Vakuutukselta löydät vakuutukset kaikkiin tarpeisiin. Osta tarvitsemasi vakuutukset verkosta helposti!

BTW. I think that you have to fill in your finnish licenceplate number to get a price, so i think you have to have the plates first. You can get the insurance at the MOT place too.

In Finland there is two type of insurances,

First there is Liikennevakuutus, this part of the insurance you have to have to drive in finland. If you crash, this will cover the other guys car if it's your fault.

Then there is Kasko, this part will cover your car in case of accident. This part you don't have to have.

I'm no expert of taking an insurance to a exported car in finland, but if you kindly ask someone at http://www.audiclub.fi/audifinns/index.php i'm sure you get a reply.
Now quattro less, my urs4 stolen 13.8

Brilliant, thanks mate. I managed to speak to my father in law's company, Pohjola, and it's a bit steep but I don't have a lot of choice. bonu system seems to work as 10% for the first no claim's year and 5% for each subsequent year. that's only applied to the basic (3rd party) insurance with the optional fully comprehensive cover on top without discount. Pohjola said about €500 for basic plus €400 fully comp. nordea came in with €400 basic and a silly €1300 fully comp I'm still getting other quotes so i'll see how it goes.

By the way I'm told that I have to sort the insurance out before I get the car tested as they'll be notified electronically before they do the test.

      cheers
