I was going to have a look at it about 6 month ago and asked the seller to get it put on a rolling road to see how it was running before I trekked up to Aberdeen.
Turned out to be a bit under powered so the last I heard the seller was in comms with Paul of s2central trying to work out what was wrong. For the money, it was worth knocking some £ off and getting it, then sorting it out properly or dropping it off at MRC. I seriously considered swapping it for mine when Frazer was selling it but it sold then.Cheers'en, AndyC

the owner assures me hes checked the part numbers on the turbo and said it is an rs2. he also said it boosts to 1.5 bar, which leads me to think theres an air leak as when i spoke to doug he advised me that minhea had mapped it to 1.8bar.
even if it turns out not to have an rs turbo, im still pleased with it, its got everything else i want,brakes,zorst,h+r,nice rims,injectors,rs2 ic,manifold etc etc.
did anyone ever find out if it was an sms turbo? im not getting my hopes up, and assuming i will have to find an rs turbo myself.Comment

In one of the side shots it looks like it has opening rear windows?? that would make a nice bonus

yep pete, all 3 coupes i have had have rear opening windows, lucky i guess !!
im trying to look up the part number of the rs2 turbo. i know its kkk247200 but when you do a search there are so many different numbers.....hybrid this, hybrid that.....blah blah blah.
does the rs2 turbo have different numbers on each?doubt it.
when you put in colesys number from the above posts it comes out as half matching the rs2 part number.
