this tells me it is a genuine rs2 turbo..........anyone able to confirm?

All RS2 turbos have a blue plate on it with K24-7200 etched on it on the compressor AFAIK

If that is not there, it's

a) Not an RS2 turbo or b) Been reconned with not RS2 parts

yeah jamo i knew that, im just trying to go back on old posts etc and make light of the situation. the seller assures me its an rs2 unit, as he was told by the previous keeper (fraser) and also he matched up the part number.

i will just have to wait and see, although it is currently on green injectors etc and mapped by minhea to 1.8 bar, i got that from doug so have absolute faith

I am sure it was a rebuilt RS2 unit or one with a very close spec to RS2. It was a strong car so sounds liek it has the usual S2 problems.

doug, ive heard it ran 370bhp, did you ever test it? also did you take the engine out?
cant wait to get tinkering with it

We never had the engine out.

I think it dynoed 370bhp at star performance on the older turbo.

it had an aet or turbo dyanmics hybrid before - it now has an RS2 turbo.
