    2.8 30v v6 quattro, chipping!

Anyone got a chipped one of these.

I just bought a 99 A4 quattro the other month and i must the performance is a little dissapointing.

    Seen these on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/AUDI-A4-A6-A8-...item3a55caf91f

Has anyone drove a chipped one and did it make much difference.

friend of mine has this engine in his 80 avant, it's fast enough in a 80 but this year the car has been chipped, but there is no difference to be noticed. The map is written for Euro 95 fuel instead of 98 though...

the 30v will respond better to breathing modifications, exhaust, decat, air intake make a serious improvement to these.
Will dig out the thread but i recall reading a passat 2.8 30v with above modifications making steady improvements and being circa 230bhp, sounds ambitious but the 30v engine can be wound up a lot better than the old 12v could.

The 80 only ever came with the AAH 2.8 12v engine, different lump.

I believe his car was one of the first in Europe that got the 30V swap...
