    Suggest set-up 0-100 km/h under 5 sec

    Hey!

As I have done some measurements with G-tech and Racechrono Ive been thinking is there a way to accelerate with stock bodied RS2 at idle to 100 km/h under 5 seconds. Just as standing in traffic and starting to move and push the pedal to the floor. There's many videos in youtube about RS6 doing so.

So guys, suggest such a set-up.

    Thanks,

    Marko

Homefried S2 and a serious diet

Launch is all important and 1-2 change is nearly as important too, can shave 0-2-0.3s off on the change alone if you don't care about the 'box. Suggest you get used to launching it properly, that's essential. Hold it at 4k5-5k, bring the clutch up sharply and floor it, feel the power build before ully disengaging the clutch. Sub 5s, Done. Chipped RS2 should do sub 5 all day long, if you're worried about getting closer to 4 then you'll need a bit more, diet helps, removing 100+kg made a big difference but the rear wheels now spin as there's less weight over them. Clutch might not like oyu though, mine makes its feling known quite a bit

I have launched a plenty of times. That's not an issue right now, but what is, is that how can I get car moving without stressing about it or sweating behind the steering wheel.

No other way. I did look into an S2 performance test that could be used across the cars but only a couple of people were interested and there was a bit of negativity towards the idea so I gave up.

Here's a plot of my car 0-60 in 4.98 The kit runs at 5Hz, hence why the start isn't that sharp, the sofrtware back calculates it so there is a slight tolerance, would work better with a combination on GPS and accelerometer.

The thing with the RS6 is that it has a slush box. No need to sweat or stress when you can just mash the loud pedal and it does the rest for you.

Same with my V8 (although nowhere near as fast, obviously). It's easy to stick it in sport mode and then mash the pedal. With a manual it takes much more skill/effort. My Avant will do 4s to 60 on a hard launch, from a normal start it is more like 5-6s.

Ive done some tests in the past whem my RS2 wasnt quite ready and even then I got ca 4.7 sec 0-100 km/h, with launching. So I think it should do 4.5 sec right now. But lets being honest, its quite silly to stress to drive fast from zero to what ever speed. Fast car should act so that then I push the pedal, car instantly reacts and flies no matter what under 5 sec from 0-100 km/h.

Ok, obliviously 2.6l stroker is needed for that, but that cams, turbo etc should be used? Throttle response should be good, so "right way" intake manny and tubular ex manny. Personally don't like tubular ex manny idea because it changes stock apperance.

VTG turbocharger? Porsche 997 GT2 uses them.

And with normal start about 6-6,5 sec. Madly fast car, isn't it?

I can tell you this much that A8 4.2tdi couldn't get under 7,5 seconds with normal start. We did several tests and got 7,5-7,9 seconds. With launch it had its best 6,9 seconds. According to Audi it should do 5,9 seconds.
