    Diff lock driftin'

Come on own up, who else has been out there getting it sideways? My works car park has just seen some action. I never knew how much fun 15 mph powerslides could be!

You should try an E30 BMW with an LSD Hours of fun, certainly keeps the adrenaline flowing!

Unfortunately the S2 fared slightly worse and managed to slither out of control into a kerb and I wasn't even messing about, I did have diff lock on though (it was that slippery) and it did drift (all 4 wheels) so it sort of counts. Unfortunately it now needs some TLC...

I went out for about 100 miles of playing in the S2. Had lots and lots of fun.

Here is one clip as my girlfriend said it was too cold to get out more than once to film...

      Link....

Must admit I did damage one alloy a little bit on the way home...

And a clip of the car park over the road last year....

Rusty - bummer dude. Hope it's not too much of a nightmare to fix.

Tonks - awesome clip. I'll probably have another go later. I'll see if I can find a suitable camera operator.

Nah, it'll be fine, only money...

Seems that Eagle F1s aren't so good in the snow anymore!

The night it snowed I was out till 12 drifting, quattro is so much fun in the snow!

The next day I had a 4 hour drive, 3 hours were on snow, was awesome as little traffic and driving on roads I know, was mentally knackered from concentration when done though. Loved the last bit; 15 miles of deserted b road, covered in snow, with hairpins, at night; drift heaven!

Gotta laugh at all the chavs out in halfords doing handbrake turns though, was pretty funny to drift in, 360 and drift out again

16v b4 quattro is better balanced than my 20v 90 quattro was, lighter front or better rear end? Anybody know the weight difference between a 16v and a 20v engine?

So much fun just treated myself to a blast near a local conservation area which has loads of winding roads and a huge empty snow filled car park to spin and drift! Never had so much fun revving the car like mad and drifting corners, incredible fun!

The problem with the locked diff auto canceling at 15Mph can be over ridden if you put a switch in line on the speed signal. This will make for alot more fun chaps :mischeif:

@Rusty - sorry to hear your troubles... Even the mighty S2 will struggle in snow with the wrong tyres. I bought some winter/snows a few years back and never looked back... Pity I can't drive either of my quattros this weather but such is life. **** happens, then you die...

They're slightly lighter for sure but main difference will be that the weight is further back in the valver, making it easier to manoeuvre.
