Early (pre 98 I believe)a4 s wheels yes, iyou need a new trim surround piece from either a euro car or from a late build 95 90.

I have one in my garage waiting to go on.

you also need the steering column. The aluminum is larger on it on the later cars.

if you mean exact the weel in picture then no. I tried one similar on may S2 Avant a month ago.. the end of S2 steering column where you put on the wheel is smaller (narrower) than needed.

          hey guys,

why not, these steering wheels had been mounted in some convertibles in the later years.

          check out the picture:

in my opinion it´s exactly the same steering wheel...

It's not the steering wheel it's the steering column that's the problem. The turn signal stalk from the later cars doesn't fit on the early steering column. I'm picking up another steering wheel from a 2001+ audi A4 this weekend most likely. It looks different than the one I have that works with my 95 sedan. I have a complete early column and stalks, and i'll try it on it.

Your 01 wheel has a completely different spline size

I guess it's it's a good thing then that it's still at the junkyard and I haven't got it yet. I've got the proper one allready. But I was going to sell the 01 unit.

yah I have the farthest to the right setup on my late model 1995 setup. I was curious if the 2001 would work with the early setup because it doesn't have the funky design the 1995 model has but hearing the splines are different explains things now.
