what diameter is the fuel line on my s2 coupe?

Hi all, ive been my s2 coupe for some time in the snow now with no problems until last night. I was driving along and the underside of my car bottomed out on a big lump of ice and the fuel line took a bashing. I need to repair it asap but not sure what size diameter the fuel line is. I am hoping to chop out damged section and use a small length of copper pipe and two compression couplings. Has anyone had this problem before? how would you repair it?

I used 8mm dia copper tube,if the fuel lines are the originals i'd take the opportunity to change the lot as the original steel ones corrode under the rubber clips and leak
    It's a love/hate relationship with the S2,i love it,it hates me

I have to do this repair outside in the snow, so a quick fix will be ok for the moment.I will do that at later point though soon as the weather warms up a bit. I had this problem once before on my old 7a20v CQ and i think i used 6mm c/p to do small section. i assumed it might be same size?

No it's 8mm as posted by Add and in the posted guide. the CQ is non turbo doesn't require as much fuel.

OK thats good then. i think i should be ok now. Just need to get me some 8mm C/p and couplings for now. I just thought that i still have the under tray from my old coupe. was this fitted to the s2 as well? just thinking would it help protect or prevent any damage occourig to engine sump etc?.

I got on with the job today to replace the section of damaged fuel line.I removed the retainer clip and rubber support to find that the culprit was the flow fuel line had split and corroded . Then upon looking at the rest i decided they were all ******ed so i went and bought all the nessasary bits:6x8mm compression couplings and a coil of 8mm C/p and sealant then replaced the lot just for peace of mind. It took a couple of hours but well worth it specially with the price of fuel nowadays

up old post. I would like to know if it give any benefit by changing original 8mm diameter fuel pipe to 10mm. Maybe 8mm is enough for 500hp or more hp ?
I haven't read anywhere about these mods, but someone did this without substantiation, so I am interested on this
