Hi folks, iam looking for front wings does anybody have any idea where these can be bought? new preferably. i have lokked on various websites but none list the coupe

chris
Morning, congratulations on your new purchase, and welcome.
I had this same conversation with a chap over on Classic Audi last night. As far as I'm aware Coupe wings are dealer or TPS only and the thick end of a ton new, bit cheaper if you can get them trade price. Also for some bizarre reason brand new ones come without the holes for the side repeater pressed out. If you do go for new ones cut the hole's before you get them painted, it's caught a few on here out. Even if pattens were available they'd most likely be poo.
Best bet is to source the best second hand ones you can find and spend a bit of time preping them, though their starting to get thin on the ground.

Thanks guys, what condition are the second hand ones in? iam really looking for 4 wings as iam going to resore my old G reg 2.2 Quattro as well.
The condition obviously varies a lot. They normally start to rust from the mounting points for the front bumper, due in part to poor design IMO. I've come across some really goods ones, there again I've seen a lot more shot ones.

Yeah i know what you mean! i dont mind putting the extra money out for new ones to have everything right, will phone the dealer in the morning from a nice comfortable chair
I agree with Kit, see if you can get some rust free second hand ones.
you can then replace the rivnuts if they are a mess, then paint the inside of them with POR15 and spray with underseal - they will last a lifetime then
