I live in the States and I have always wanted an S2, but they are nearly impossible to find here, and very expensive. I just bought a 1989 90 20v quattro, and i wanted to make it into a turbo car. I want a 20v turbo. What is the best way to go about this? I am wanting to make this car a daily driver, but also pretty quick, i was thinking between 300hp and 400 hp. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Peter
You can use your stock transmission or the URs4 transmission, both will work. But you will need the urs4 ECU and wiring.

Read the project section here and on motorgeek.com. You will find tons of useful information, very similar project than yours.
Some of us (s4kido, me working on it now) few of us (Joe Marconi) did it already.
If you wanna do an S2 conversion, you will need a lot of money, time, and source.
This forum is your best friend.
Engine: you will need an 1991 audi 200 quattro (20v, turbo) motor code 3B or a UrS4-6 (Audi Ur-S4, and Audi Ur-S6 were unofficial names for the original models of the Audi S4 and S6 automobiles.)
The Ur-S4 was produced from 1992 to 1994, while the Ur-S6 was produced from 1995 to 1997. They both featured a 227 horsepower 2.2 liter, 5-cylinder engine with turbocharging and an intercooler, with a torque of 258 lb•ft (350 N•m). Motor code: AAN
You can get it from local junk yard for $200 but you need extra luck or from other nice forum members for a regular price like $1300. Or you can buy it from other ppl (thief) for $2000-2500.
You will need ECU, wiring harness and a few other things. Before you move an inch, I suggest: read, read and read. Then if something not clear, ask it here.
Regards,
Chris
ps: Btw Joe Marconi is from Ohio too, he is very helpful and experienced with this conversion, plus he got tons of parts.
