Had the same call earlier today. Only got as far as asking me if I owned an Audi 80 and offered me the fiver every six months for filling in a questionaire. Didn't like the sound of it so said no thanks and hung up on the girl asking the questions. Got the phone call at work but I did notice the number didn't show up on the caller display.

Well my car is green and 'L' reg... But this is my 3rd S2 and they have all been green. My car would be a poor choice to clone at present as it has no mot and has been sorned since October last year. Surely it would be daft to stick my number plate on a car and run the risk of being stopped because the car is flagged for no tax and mot. I'm no criminal mastermind but I think the first thing I would check for on a car I was going to clone would be to see if it was taxed or sorned.
I tend to agree that it was probabely a sales call but I didn't get far enough along to find out properly.
Hopefully I won't be proved wrong!

Which was of course registered fairly local to Alex at the time I had it, which seems a bit of a coincedence.............
ok so green and L reg is probably the most common avant combo......but still.....its a bit weird, hmmm, maybe Grant & I should go buy lottery tickets this weekend
My step dad came home from work today and told me that someone emptied over 18k out of his bank account but it was picked up by fraud team and they are working on it to get back the money. That was all in one day, these guys work fast.....
