    FWD to 20VT?

Anyone had a FWD B2/3/4 with an I5T in it, I can't imagine it works too well but just interested to find out

Ask Brian Tonks, he's just put a 20vT in a convertable that's he's leaving FWD, not sure if he's driven it yet though.

It's stupid. The speedo often says 140mph+ but only actually doing about 50mph. It has no traction what so ever!!!!

I will quattro it in a few weeks time.

Hahaha, thats awesome, 5 pot sound and plenty of tyre squeal must sound pretty immense.

@ Pete. I'll try and get some vids in the next day or so.
it's a little bit me a concern when there is so much tyre smoke coming through the dash vents.

I did it many years ago , I put a 200 turbo engine in a C reg gt coupe , it was about a year after the s2 had been launched , believe it or not with two people in it it had enough traction to do 0-60 in 5 seconds and would leave a then brand new s2 in a clown of smoke . With me in it alone it was a bet harder to put the power down I had to wiggle the steering wheel to stop the diff making lots of one wheel wheel spin.
I had it on a dyno and it had about 200 hp 177 at the wheels .
I remember working out that to equal the power to weight ratio of a UR quattro it only needed 180hp and with the s2 being even heaver it was no problem to out run one up to 100mph , after that the S2 would have the advantage as wind drag is the biggest coefficient then no weight.

It was fun and if your young and like buying tires ever 3 months and wheel spinning at 60mph out of corners give it a go . It did handled like a pig though and you could not go out in the wet or you would die .

Coming from a very pointy E30 I can understand that last sentiment
