    MIDupdate??? Amateur hour headbanging championships

    <rant>
    Anybody else on here have to use MID update for motor trade insurance? I have the displeasure to use it on behalf of my father. Traders have to add cars that they have owned/used longer than about 17 days or something.

    Like that other great gov website "Self assesment online"/yougov/whatever, it is made so amateurishly, and so 1990's-ishly that it is barely usable!

    As well as a password you need 2 usernames, and a passphrase. The password "expires" after an unspecified time, and you have to choose one not previously used-I have a list of about 30 crossed out ones.Currently I can't login as I've tried too many times with the wrong password/phrase, but doesn't say if this is temporary.You can only contact them whilst lodgged inWhat should be a 5 minute job takes 2 hours

    My mother could make a better job of it with her crochet sticksThey obviously don't field test it or listen to feedback, I have emailed numerous times saying how useless it is-realistically no ordinary people like my father could use it. Who knows who made it or how much it cost-I offered to make them a proper one for free, but for some reason didn't get a reply.....
