One thing to try thinking about it is if you have a battery jump box and can get under the car is connect the ground to the block and the positive to the alternator and see if it gives power to the central locking to open via the fob.

            had this on my corrado.

basically i jacked it up and managed to get onto the live cable to apply power with a starter pack. with battery under back seat its harder.

call a locksmith who will break in professionally.

It's an avant - the battery is in the boot.

If there's anymore posting of sensitive information on how to get access to internals I will lock the thread.

I'm sure we do not want that sort of information banded on the internet

I can't see that anything posted here compromises vehicle security

Boost pack on the alternator or starter will sort it. Had to do it my old school passat after it had been left for months.

Once your into pull out a lock and get it retumbled to match the ignition key. Will prevent the problem in future.

There were instructions on how to get into the engine bay earlier.

How easy is this? does it have to be done by Audi as my boot look does not match the rest of my car and on an Avant this is a problem
