Olny thing i am missing from the newer car's is the Syncro rev matching from Datsun 370Z.
Just for a mind exceresize, i've been trying to figure out what should i need to do, to mimic the same functionality in an older manual car.
Basically there should be a way to identify in witch gear the car is in, then there should be somekind of (servo?)motor to work on the throttle. The on-off switching if the system could be done via cruise control switch on the clutch pedal, and lastly there should be a control logic that maches engine speed with the current gear and speed. Tehcnically this should be all to get it working
As an add in extra for this, the same logic could be used to engage autocheck displays red backlightning to work as shift light and/or as a warning when the gear i am about to select would over rev the engine.
anyone interested in contributing to that exceresize?

The SynchroRev™ Match Mode (S-MODE) automatically adjusts the engine speed by controlling the engine throttle. This helps provide accurate engine speed control that will help achieve smooth gear shifting and reduces shift shock on clutch engagement.
WHEN DOWNSHIFTING
-The engine speed is automatically increased to the target engine speed before the clutch is engaged.
WHEN UPSHIFTING
-The engine speed is automatically kept during and after the engine speed lowers to the target engine speed.
DEACTIVATING THE S-MODE SYSTEM
-To deactivate, push and hold the S-MODE switch for
more than 1 second. The S-MODE indicator will
turn off.
