    need electrical help

    Hey guys,

    I need a little help.
The switches are working but no "background" lights.
I removed them, changed the frame cos I wanted to install a digital AC.
I’ve put everything back, now when I turn the light on; I got everything but those switches.

    Please help me out.
    Thank you.

If you have a look at the wiring diagrams on S2central.net you'll see that these switches aren't illuminated when you turn the lights on, they are illuminated when you turn the ignition switch on. They have no connection to the lighting switch.

The illumination is fed from a common feed called "A20" in the diagrams which comes through fuse S12 but this feed runs lots of things from your reversing lights to your airbag warning light so you'd know if this fuse has gone.

Depending on the switch, there is another bulb inside which illuminates when you put that switch in the "on" position.

It looks like the ignition is on in the photo...

If they have all stopped working, i suggest a plug is not plugged in when you reinstalled. I am away to have to pull my lower console out for the same reason having just refitted the carpet!

Is that a diff lock switch in the middle?

        Thank yoo John,

no illuminates was on with ignition (engine was runing) and with lights on.

"Depending on the switch, there is another bulb inside which illuminates when you put that switch in the "on" position."

I did try 10 (ten) different seat heater switch. none of them was illuminating, odd?!

        madpugger,

Yes ignition wa son, but that picture is no actual.
I did check the switches 3 times.

IIRC the heated seat switch only has one bulb in it. I was thinking of the fog lights & hazard which have more than one.

I suggest you check that A20 supply I mentioned and see if everything on it is still working and then start looking for broken wires.

OK so that says the A20 feed to the switches runs through the old A/C unit. You need to study the wiring diagrams on S2Central.net
