You can change the style the forum displays by selecting your preferred style at the bottom left of the site.
We have made an enhancement so that old threads should now link from search results to the correct thread. This is not yet in place for single post links

To make a S2 Avant into an RS2 you might as well go and buy the real thing...
Why exactly? My car looks like an RS2 and has more power for less price, tell me what's wrong with that.
In that case don't put any RS2 or uprated parts on your car as it's defamatory.
I really can't stand idiotic thoughts like that, if the S2 avant was a 1.1 car then I could see your point but the S2 Avant isn't exactly a bottom of the range car cost what 30-40k brand new
Each to their own but I don't personally see a problem with putting an RS2 badge on an RS2 replica which is actually a pretty awesome machine in it's own right. But it's not the same as putting it on an 80 TDi Avant.

As an Avant owner at least you have the option of buying an RS2... & I bet by the time you have finished with yours, it will have cost you as much as a real RS2....
We Coupe owners dont have a choice.... & I havent put any RS2 parts on my car...
I have put on 996 Brakes... which strictly speaking ARN'T RS2 parts...

Hmm actually no it hasn't, buying an RS2 then making it to the same spec as my car would have cost me double.

Not wanting to start any arguments but I'm certain that an RS2, in the same condition and mileage as my RS spec S2, would cost at least £5k more.
If I had the money I would have considered an RS.
As for badge abuse, I dont think there is anything wrong with advertising what is under the bonnet although I haven't............................yet!
