They were very good but Tim (Renn-tech) moved and setup his own company. I found tim was the only reason i used QRSport. No experience since 2007 so cant comment if they have improved since his departure. Give Tim a call first though.

It was supplied before 2007 so that is atleast a good thing, I will contact him though as he can probably answer the questions I have.

      Cheers !

Don't do it. Lots of problems with the chips that they used to use. I have a set and they were quickly replaced with an MRC remap!

Was that your green avant,Andy? If so I had that ECU in my car too, went like foook. Ask GT500 I think he has a set in his UR with ABY.
Just some finishing touches to do now

Yes, still in and it does 28mpg towing a car trailer with car on at 80mph! (before I got older and wiser!)
Yes they do run lean, but so do most race cars!

running lean is not an issue. running too lean is.

                its about temps really.

a leaner map will make more power than a richer one.

thing with race cars is they usually use different fuel and have racing drivers and teams to support them.

never trust a chip that's not graphed.

                  ^ Good info.

TBH You could always fit a adjustable fpr to richen it up a bit if it was dangerously lean but I don't believe they would map it that close to the edge anyway.

problem with adjustable FPR is getting the rising rate to match the map. near on impossible.

it would end up pig rich low down and normal up top. kinda like k-jet tuning.

Have you excuse my ignorance on this one but would it really be that much of a problem ?

The vauxhall lads end up having to do it quite simply as the 4.5bar reg supplied with most kit can vary from 4 bar to nearly 5 so they choose to use a adjustable one to get it spot on.

Devil spawn those things on a turbo car, work well on NA, get a proper map

Thats totally lost me, obviously I appreciate that a map based around the set fuel pressure is perfect but I can't see why using a adjustable fpr is that much of a issue.

Having not owned anything like that myself I can only use a friends car as a reference but his has been fine like that for many years

It has to be setup correctly to use, you need to get the rising rate correct or else you afr will look good in one place and then crap the next. They are typically used to en-richen mixtures rather than lean them out.

If your talking about a static fpr where you can go from 4 bar to say 3.5 and it's static then yes you could use it but if you lean it out lower down your leaning it out at top and that's not good.

I only see them used on big injectors to get a good idle by lowering the base pressure.

It's a band aid fix, really you want to remap or get a good map.
