power crazy cops
Typical from the police they are not interested in anything but making money, I had a similar experience on my way back home from visiting my mum and dad on a sunday night, I spent a good part of the day cleaning and polishing the s2 so it was gleaming and looking as good as new and i got pulled about 100 yards from home, they had been following me for 10 mile so they would have pulled up my details on their computer i got asked all the usual questions, they asked where i lived and i said around the corner, they even breathilised me good job i carry my driving license and other id. I asked why they pulled me cause i never broke the speed limit and just taking it easy on my way home and all they said and i quote cause you are driving a nice car late at night!!! UNBELIEVABLE:corey:Comment

But that isnt always a bad thing! Funnily enough I had the same when I stopped at my mates house in Morpeth (near Newcastle as above, for those that dont know)
I got stopped late one night in my XR3i (many years ago lol) and the first thing they said was "Dont worry, you have'nt done anything wrong!" They went on to tell me that most performance cars were stopped or atleast had their details checked if they were seen out at night due to high theft rates and as mine came up as being so far from where it was registered they wanted to check everything was ok.
So, on that occassion it was nice to know they were showing some interest, which is probably what they were doing with yours tooComment

not all bad...and as a rule i hate plod
Recent contact with "five-o" restored my faith in them. During last batch of snowfall i was sensibly driving through Rotherham when yellow punto pulls alongside at traffic lights sounding like mobile disco, windows down,......revving his pathetic 1242cc engine so hard i was sure the engine will expire before his road tax!!
Ahead is about half mile of straight dual carriageway on approach to m18, a quick nod to my mrs and a "hold on love" followed by a heavy bootfull when the lights changed saw silly punto sat still spinning his wheels and my s6 lurching forwards/sideways....always brings a big smile and heavy beating heart when looking out of alternating side windows to see where im going. Satisfied that baseball hat wearing moron looked pathetic i eased of and brought the beast back into line only to realise that behind the punto was Mr Plod.
Thinking the worst i pulled over, walked back to the mobile lightshow expecting to be the recipient of a dangerous driving ticket (probably deserved) .Trying to hide the stupid grin that accompanied the "only i could do this infront of a policecar" thought i heard the policeman say " i knew you were going to do that, i looked at your car and thought ....this'll be interesting....."
I started to make my apologies, but he interupted with "was he pi$"i@G you off? " followed by " there's a time and a place....nice car....calm it down in this weather....i'm off to have a word with that nob 'ed now" and with that he jumped back in his car and set off after the punto.....RESULT!!
On a previous encounter i was working for a large Doncaster based recovery company....driving a sprinter spec/dolly contraption with a lwb transit loaded on......
I notice Blue lights behind me so i pull over...walk back to the volvo estate with emerging officer announcing " the reason i stopped you is you look a little overweight"
Now, i knew as i spoke the words that my reply should have remained a thought but heard myself replying "so do you....you fat c""t!! "
The copper in the passenger seat literally had tears running down his face with laughter but unfortunatly the "weeble shaped" officer didnt share my sense of humour.
Eventually only nicking me for not wearing my seat belt he assured me he was going to see my boss etc etc.
Im called into office on return to yard and now fearing the worst, only to find both directors still laughing .......they both shook my hand and they even paid my fixed penalty ticket.Comment

i got pulled over in my first audi gt when i was 18.
once for speeding ( yes it was capable of breaking a limit, 30mph!)
wpc was very nice n as the mrs wasnt there i managed talk my way out of a ticket ( I was doing 70, but it wasnt a traffic car so they couldnt prove it, just said they had to do good mph to catch up.
second time was in the same gt, country shops, midnight, i d been giving it some on the way home from lichfiled(old monterey meet car do)
thought they d radiod ahead to stop me (some mates had been caught month before with a road block, they knew we were about)
it was a stolen vehicle check-stopping nice cars to see if they were stolen-
normal questions, your car sonny? tax etc? drinker?(no, for a student, rare i know)
then asks for the docs to prove my car
went through it all ok
he says thanks for stopping to which i replied-well would you steal this car, its not shy really
it was black and flamed all over!
i ll try to dig some pics out and scan them in, still my fav car of all i ve had ( 40+ now), never had many problems, 100 000 miles in 6 years, apart from clutch cables
got used to shifting without the clutch n didnt bother changing cables for weeks.lolComment

(in a posh voice) eerrwww he's young, drives an rs4 and wears expensive suits and takes his girlfriend for slap up meals to while away the time and is so fit because he's spent soo much time at the gym! by the way he's described himself I dont like him either! take him away! HAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA! its just my opinion though, as morrissey would sing, we hate it when our friends become successful ! come on, am I the only person who thinks like this? and if he's on here, we could never have been friends anyway
my mates wonder how I've never been pulled in my S2 because i drive around with a wooley hat on, a hoody with the hood up and black leather gloves and I cant get served with spray paint from a model shop cos I look about 12, I deserve to be pulled and treat like this!
