I have had this car for a year now and when i picked it up i noticed the p/s pump was leaking from the top large crossed mrked nut. i went about replacing the o-ring this didn't work so after a few attempts with no luck i went and bought a replacement p/s pump. I fitted it and the pump leaked. so i pulled the hp hose off and found a gauze plastic filter thingy blocking the pipe. By this time i had replaced also the accumulator brake bomb as well thinking this could be the cause. after putting it all back together everything was fine, no ticking noises from the prv in the pump and no leaks . i had been ok with the steering until recently keep getting loss of assistance when going round corners or roundabouts etc. there now seems to be a very slight leak from the pump again and also a slight tappy relief valve noise from the pump on the top. do i need to look at replacing the rack or is there a blockage somewhere else? i have a warning light comming up on the OBD but the back light does not work so i can't see it but i think its the brake abs light.
