    The best 'barn find' ever?

Can you imagine owning a brand new Ford RS200, 2 Brand new BMW M3 Sport Evo's, a brand new Mercedes 190 EVO II and forgetting about them ? Supposedly, a billionaire man in the U.K did ! Only 500 of those M3's were ever made in 1990 ! The 2 red M3's were just sold to 'bonkers' ! True story ...

So unfair. My bro is dribbling over the BMW but I really want the rs200 and merc. Was thinking of trying to get a merc like that when I got my s2 and have always wanted on of the rs200s since saw them in rallies when iwas a kid! Lucky lucky guy!

From page 5 of that link

A few people have asked how did i come to own the cars? well like life its self we all need a bit of luck from time to time!! i was in a hospitality suite at the Silverstone GP last year and got talking to a chap there about cars i mentioned that i collect cars and he took an interest in the subject and went on to say that he had a couple of cars himself and went on to tell me that he bought 2 m3's for his son's when they were kids for future investments there now 21 and 22, that's why there are 2 red ones (save's the arguments i guess we all know what kids are like) and he also went on to say that he also owns a merc evo 2 and an RS200 and there all brand new and unregistered, you can imagine how i reacted my chin hit the floor lol!
So we swapped telephone numbers and he said if he ever wants to sell the he would give me first refusal i thought that's the last i would ever hear from him, then in January i got a phone call out of the blue from him to ask if i wanted to have a look at the cars and see if we could come to an agreement on price if i was interested so we made arrangements to view the cars and it turned out the guy is a very very wealthy business man so much so he's a billionaire, you would never know he's very down to earth!!! so we agreed a price and the rest is history!!! Well chuffed!!!!!

Amazing find! Some people are truly lucky!
I know of an RS500 shell unregistered that was a gift from the boreham motorsport department to a friend/colleague... I'm not a ford fan but if he puts it up for sale i'm pestering him!

I hear stories in my business like this all the time.. Last weeks was my old boss (Aston specialsts)
SHortend version, Gets a call from local Aston dealers " we have a old one in part ex, not our bag. Do you want it?" my mate goes and has a look. gets the chassis no. Goes back to work and starts digging its history. Buys it for £50000 car gets delivered.
He found out it was built for the owner of Aston Martins wife, special racing engine from new, only made THREE!
Sells it untouched to U.S collector for £230000!

This happens all the time to him! I have all his bad luck!

suppose if you've got a good bit of cash behind you to pay out you could take advantage of the opportunities I made £5 from a set of alloys the other day thats about as far as my luck goes
