New Additions To Roose Motorsport Hoses

After using my standard hoses to make tooling from, Roose Motorsport are now offering the breather hoses as part of their line (as pictures)

These are the pictures of the standard ones from my car for reference

I also had a set of coolant hoses made for my 3B.

I have also left with them my standard 3B turbo hoses, for which they will make tooling so that they can offer the full package now as they currently only do the ABY turbo hoses.

As the breather pipes are carrying oil vapour, they have been specially lined to cater for this.

Basically, you can now get the full engine hoses from one company, and as has been my experience, the quality and fitment of the Roose hoses has always been perfect.

Anyone interested needs to contact Roose Motorsport direct.

Ah damn it, I was hoping to only spend on repairs this year... I'll add these to the wish list for now, I've got the rest of the ABY set and am very impressed with their quality and fitment to date!

I would avoid at all costs. I have the ABY coolant hoses from them, and one of the hoses just doesn't fit - it's the wrong size. Roose were also monumentally unsympathetic when I told them, even though I said I didn't want anything because I'd sourced the right hose anyway. Their line was basically "ours match the originals we started from", and they didn't even apologise or say "thank you" for bringing it to their attention. I am absolutely positive it's not something odd about my engine either - since the hose that now fits is an original from Audi!

As did the Roose hoses I had on my Cav Turbo and Cosworth

Same as Dest here, got the full set on mine (coolant, boost & ancillary with fittings) as well as a set on my bike, aprilia RS250, and every pipe fits great - a pipe for the bike needed cutting down slightly, but only because the Suzuki RGV250 (same engine) needs it longer to fit. A straight swap for all on the car, quick and easy with no hassles. They clean up great and in 12 months have had no issues (though the OE stuff did last 15yrs so another 14 to go)

Also found Paul, at Roose MS, very good to deal with. I understand people are always more pleasant when you're spending a few hundred quid on their stuff, but I genuinely found them to have excellent service. I got the items in about a week, with the bike hoses thrown in for free and free p&p too

I happily recommend them to anyone, not just S2 owners, who's in need of a hose or two. Sorry to hear of your troubles with them, I thought their customer service would be more willing to help out with it being the wrong size.

I've just checked my kit and that hose is definatley right. Looks like you got a rouge hose, still no excuse for poor service.
I have to add though, that I have also found Paul easy and professional to deal with, and the quality of the product is excellent.

I was: coolant and ancillary, complete with clips for all hoses.

So did I, but they weren't really interested. Full marks for politeness though.

Yeah, that's the conclusion I came to - a rogue hose.

I might be a one off - which is always possible - but I doubt I'll be back for more.

I had excellent service from Paul too, even to the point where I rang at very short notice one weekend when a standard hose burst on my Cav one weekend.
He took the replacement hose home with him and let me collect it from him out of work hours.
                          Cant fault that atall!

Well, i can only report that the service i have had with Paul at Roose has been excellent. They have always kept me upto date with what was happening with the manufacturing and been very friendly and very polite. That is a rare thing nowadays with companies so i would highly recommend their services.

I suggest we stop there - little further value is being added! But... shock internet news: people have different opinions

I've demonstrated why I am/was dissatisfied. Others have said why they were happy. Like most internet debates, we could go on like this for a long time - the fans on both sides (whether it's Roose, MRC, QST, Apple, Microsoft, Nescafe, KY, Andrex, whatever) will add pages but not content, etc, and there seems little point in that.
