    Old IMSA IM.

There was one for sale on the norwegian forum yesterday. As expected the auction did go pretty fast, and it was sold well under 24h after posted.
Without confirmation it did change owner for about £1000,- ish
Is it worth more or less, whats your opinion?

A great pice of manifold which one could have on the garage shelf for ages
EDIT/disclaimer: I did not buy it!

Nice bit of automotive history to own. Personally not a fan of twin plenumb design intakes, likewise with modern day technology a single 1200cc injector is fine for idle unlike the old days where two where required for extra fuel.
So in that respect it's not worth the money to me if I was looking for out and out power.
To have something special that few others have that's a different story and makes it worth the money.

Dual plenum 10 injector ports. Gimme!

Having recently tested a batch of injectors with an aftermarket ecu I can greatly see the benefit of 10 injectors even with the modern designed injectors

            I wish!

I cant afford it after all the other bits and bobs I found myself buying to the s2. If only the lottery jackpot found my address, then I'd have some IMSA stuff.

Just curious what you guys think an item like that is really right priced?

Well I think the price of it is the same as a Furans manifold of the same spec?

Comes down to the individual ECU and how fast the processor is capable of processing the signals and adjusting them. My mates 1.8t runs on 1200cc injectors on a Syvecs S6 ECU (previously known as solaris). 1 EGT probe, 1 Wideband, 2 knock sensors, sequential injection. They spend 10 minutes configuring it and set it to closed loop self learning and ran better than a fully mapped Emerald or DTA does. The ECU is so advanced it may aswell be an unlocked ME7 ECU.

As all the outputs are configurable I spoke to Charlie about making up a PlugnPlay unit for our cars and have provided him with the pinouts to look into as it is something I'm interested in in the long term so I can eliminate the MAF.

Otherwise nice, but sadly it won't fit into normal 20v head. So yes, nice to have on shelf.

And comparing IMSA intake to Furans is blasphemy.

The only Furans I've seen in my hands was pretty far from being dual plenum, and that is chef's one.

e: I btw have the IAT sensor for that intake. And a set of pistons for said engine. If someone's interested.

You got some shelf-porn for sale then? How much are you asking pr item? Please do post some pictures of mentioned porn in this thread

He who got most IMSA stuff on his garage shelf before he pass away is the winner!
