Mini DV camcorder

I bought one of these off Ebay the other day

It came with everything you need to use it, charger, USB cable, 2 mounting brkts, a 4Gb micro SD card and drivers. All for £20 delivered
It took a couple of weeks to arrive from Hong Kong, and this is it

The quality really is excellent, the sound is a bit dodgy but I can live with that! Heres some footage I took yesterday, shame the guy in the 911 Turbo didn't want to play:mischeif:





You get about 2hrs of use per charge and a 4Gb card will hold about an hour of footage.
The raw footage that comes off the camera is much better quality than this, by the time I'd run it through Movie maker and up loaded it to Photobucket it seemed to have lost it's edge.

All in all an absolute bargain for £20

If you search Ebay for 'Mini DV MD80' you'll find them as low as £10 delivered with no memory card.

Amazing quality for £20! and the sound quality isnt that bad either.

Just one question - I assume you have to switch it on before you set off and it just keeps recording until you stop and turn it off?

Yes, I just edited it down with Movie Maker.

I was thinking of gluing a bolt onto it to be able to mount it, that looks good with the mounting bracket.

Be more than a little cautious be vigilant.One of the customs of our shop put a vid of himself on a turboed zx10r speeding no reg number showen,but the old bill gave him a realy hard time.He was very lucky the bike was with us.Please be carefull

I did a bait of hunting recently and this was the best I could find. I've stuck mine on the front of my sons's bike (slightly less mental that andy's video but not by far) and will find new uses for it in the winter.
