We have made an enhancement so that old threads should now link from search results to the correct thread. This is not yet in place for single post links
I had the chance to talk to him a couple of weeks ago here in Italy....
I must say that he's one of the most nice/polite/easygoing famous persons I ever met!
He still has a lot of passion and heart when he talks about he's fantastic career, you could stay listen to him for hours.
No need to say I also took the chance for same photos and autographs.... particurarly one.... autograph

yeah the guy is fantastic, i had the pleasure of speaking with him and Hannu Mikkola a few years ago leaning against a car at the Festival of Speed. As you say he is a total gentleman and they took plenty fo time out to talk at ease with loads of people and sign a few things. His book is well worth a read

Yes gentleman it's the perfect word!
We are working on a charity founds raising event with him on the italian alps in january next year the genuine interest from Walter Rohrl was very nice.
The book it's the one from Davenport/Reinhard I reckon the best book with english text on the urquattro racing cars so far.
