    Invisible Green S2's

Over the last week or so, I've come close to having the S2 damaged at least three times and it's all been through other motorists just not seeing it. Latest one, 30 limit, wide (thank goodness) residential road, 4 cars, the S2 the last one, each car about 60ft apart, all doing about 25mph. Some old girl awaiting to turn right to follow the cars. After the third car of the line had passed her, she just pulled across and out into my path. I saw her coming easy enough and used the width/brakes to fairly easily avoid her, but it was pretty surreal. I've now started driving with my headlights on, regardless of weather/light/conditions. Not that I'm paranoid...

Is it just mine that's invisible or do we all suffer this?

    .

Mines white, lights on all the time and it still happens...

Next plan is to paint red stripes down it, fit blue flashing lights on top and make the main and fogs flash alternately...

Yep my green avant is invisible too. As is my electric metallic blue beetle, old v v loud and an air horn. Amazing that people still don't seem to see it when the air horn is on as they are about to drive into me! I think some people should be aloud to have their licences revoked by people they have nearly just driven into!

At LEAST have sides on anything I drive now, normally have headlights on.Prettyr sure from the facelift 90 onwards Audi have been fiting some odd stealth technology to all their cars :S Someone did suggest the feindish German wing mirror spiders had something to do with it so may be look to see if you have them.

The S2 has been clocked 4!! times. Once by someone who assumed I would pull out into a gap, twice by cretins unknown that cant park and once by a council truck that just drove into it. The 90 got hit 3 times, twice by old gits in Micras and then by an **** in a tipper transit who tried to reverse over me.

As for the red stripes, I had someone plough into the back of a lifted, armour plated alpine white land rover discovery with a huge towbar plate that DID have scotchbrite red and white stripes and an amber beacon on. Excuse: 'I didnt see you'. Was done in a 2 moth old AMG SLK she wasnt insured to drive too

It probably is the Old fashioned green car syndrom. Statistics show that Green cars are most likely to have accidents and Yellow cars least likely. Now that could be for one of two reasons. 1) there are far more green cars than there are yellow...lol. 2) Green cars are more camoflaged against our usually green backdrop than for example a yellow car.

I dont think i'd ever have a green car for that reason, people simply dont see you especially on a dreary day. Also I always drive with my lights on. My Younger brother has written off 2 Green cars and Crashed 1 other (mainly LOFT issues though) and the donor car for my ABY conversion also crashed was green!

My yellow S3 SCREAMS pull out in front of me! I came inches from totalling it into the side of a tractor which pulled out from the right to cross the road at a (wait for it!) cross road. I nearly hit the tractor let alone the trailer behind him, that was during the day, sun facing me so wouldn`t have been blinding him, and lights on! God it pisses me off! It ruined a bag of cookies that WERE on the passenger seat!

Side lights at all times, headlights if in doubt/they might help you be seen; ie overtaking.

I think it time to install a pair of 120dB air horns, might as well make them crap themselves, just be prepared for them to do an emergency stop right in front of you.
