    Gurston Down Hillclimb

    Posted this on other forums too, so apologies... But;

    We had a superb day at Gurston Hillclimb on Saturday, we were there to meet up with friends of ours (from the Quattro world) but the whole event was just lovely… I hope the photos do it justice, because the sound echoing around the hill was utterly brilliant.

        Good stuff! Hillclimbs are still full of free-thinking design as well.

        It's not better than sex, but it runs it a close second.

          Cor, boy, you're not far wrong there... Some of the stuff was mad... the Lancia Stratos (Replica) ran 2 Suzuki V4's in series, making a V8 Suzuki bike engine... In a lightweight plastic shell... Suffice to say, it ain't slow. The quattros class include 2 scoobs, one 500bhp, the other, the owner was so a^al about he'd not open the bonnet or talk to anyone, let alone discuss engine etc, but it was equal to the other (500bhp) scoob. And an Audi TT which was commendably quick... The odd looking silver Ur was in a different class (which it won), and just as well... It's running 20vT and considerably quicker (circa 400bhp). The 240Z is 3100cc and sounded superb.
