    Knockhill - Tonight anyone?

Guys, going to knockhill tonight, 20 of us have hired the track from 18:00 to 20:00

My mate sold his RS4 and pulled out, then bought an Elise and was back in, until the head gasket went the other day! So his slot is up for grabs if someone wants it. It was £100 but I am sure he would be delighted to even get half that back...

Anyone interested? If you are, my number is 07515 542 703, I am just leaving soon as I am two hours away and need to be there for around 5 - 5:30 for induction. You need a driving licence with you.

    Cheers
    Mike

OK, well knockhill didn't go to plan!

First the alternator belt went, and it nicked the PAS belt as it went obviously, which then snapped later in the lap, and it got caught up in the Timing belt somehow! FFS!

On the plus side, I didn't bin it, and it showed up a load of things on the laps I did do!

Only just this min back in the door, fecking AA took forever to arrive!

Oh thats good to hear, Graeme said the engine was gone. If its just belts should be allright. Although i have replaced Alternator and PAS pump in the last few months on the AAN and feel the pain there if ytou have to do that. I heard the stripped A3 went like stink as well!

However he is doing another, so hopefully catch you on that one

Hopefully not to much damage, it sounded amazing when it went by on the first lap.

The A3 was going well, driven pretty hard. I liked the white (e34??) BMW with the carbon bonnet, was also going rather well.

I would be interested in an audi night at around £100, not more than that though as the trackscotland nights are £70.

Yeah a lot of people commented on the sound! I did 15 laps or so right at the start, brakes were awesome, and there was so much grip! I should have done a cool down lap or two but didn't! All the brakes were smouldering when it was sat in the pits!

Maybe we can get more than 20 people to get the cost down, but 20 seemed a nice number on the track...

I'll start a thread for that once I have fixed the car!

andy, saw your post on trackscotland. Are you planning a visit mid June? I am hoping to take my 90q down for that. I was supposed to be going round as well but had a few suspension woes beforehand so had to pull out. The E30 325i was one of my very good mates, Tam had the A3it was totally stripped bog standard 1.8T with 888's.

The lad who set it all up had 20 cars there and is a trackscotland regular as well. the lower numbers meant much less traffic, rumours are for another night on the 18th of August the same format. my name is already down... go on andy give it a go!

Damn, missed your first set of laps, just saw you when you had your incident. Sounds like the previous laps were good.

Mid June sounds feasible, I need to replace the rear diff bush, get it aligned and iron out any niggles before I will take it on the track. Would be nice to get a couple of older audis on together. Will try and drag my dad or a mate up as a stage barge with spare wheels/tyres tools etc. Would be good to see the 90 as well.

I know Knightrider is interested, i tried to get him along to this, (if he isnt working). Also smithS2 if he isnt offshore.
i could take the urS4 round for a few laps though, might be amusing hardly what you call aerodynamic but i figure the 90 is lighter and easier on the brakes. I dont think it will be that much slower than the S4.

Speak to Knightrider some chap near you both does laser alignment for a good price. Also needing to do the same
