Would a searchable s2 wiring scheme be of any use?

    Hi,

Just had a quick thought when I was trying to figure out what some wires were for.
Wouldn't it be easier if all pdf's were merged, and with the added option of searching for wire colors and /or the different units?

Just wondering. It certainly is possible, but if it only applies to some models (wire colour changes) would it be worth it?

Even going as far as taking pictures of the different plugs and units and merging them into the whole document would be possible.

    So.. Good idea or not?

Go ahead - knock yourself out if you think it is possible, but there are hundreds of multipage PDFs... I've never had the software trickery or time to try what you suggest, but I admit it would be cool if you could open a monster PDF and search for "G40" or whatever and have that pop up. I think its a nice idea but a shed load of work for someone - I aint attempting it !

I've done a component lookup for the wiring diagrams on my site. Click the component and it takes you to the diagram.

      Took bloody ages.

Wiring would be trickier - you'd need to link to the components as well

If you were to, per say, start with just 3b wiring. That can't be hundreds of pages.
Think I'll give it a try, just need to make sure it'll be user friendly.

the 3B engine isn't hundreds of pages, but the entire 3B engined Coupe schematic is alright.

I cannot count the hours I spent documenting the ABY/ADU wiring guide to help folk graft the factory loom into various 20VT conversions around the world. Umpteen photos, notes, links, checks, pinouts, cross-checks etc etc etc - definitely a winter job when there is nothing much else to do.
