power @ MRC dyno was 330bhp and 580 nm a few weeks back

428 lbsft... Damn thats a healthy chunk of torque, doesnt 335bhp seem a little low for that torque though?

Thats what i thought ,questioned doug and minea numerous times about that and it seems to be the boost profile , thats how the car feels on the road tbh power tails off after 5.5krpm maybe a custom map is in order but happy all the same .

The S4 tt get simmerler hp / lbft differances ,some 330bhp with 440lb/ ft for eg ,an RS2 did 540nm

Quite a lot of B7 RS4's don't make their quoted power, its quite often been measured at 370 ish bhp, and the engine is hardly a torque monster. Add in a maybe average driver and it sounds pretty plausible.

Having driven one I remember thinking that it wasn't as fast as I expected. Nice all round package though.

I've also driven a C63 AMG with 487bhp and 443lb ft, that really was something in a straight line, and despite what you may expect the handling was fantastic too. Oodles or torque and an angry muscle car sound, but it still revs quickly to 7200rpm. Shame you have to lose the all weather ability of quattro.

is that 428lbsft on stock ABY rods?
For it to have made that torque with that low hp it must have made that torque quiet early on, do you have a graph for these figures? Im at surrey rr tomorrow in the rs coupe and theres no way in going to see anywhere near 400lbsft of that im sure!

was gonna say 370-380. thats what they made at the rollers at dyno demon.

high torque output low hp. either power drops off soon or rollers may not be accurate. probly your turob size like oyu say.

i bet its a nice road car though and your happy with it. that is the main thing. drove mine for the first time in a bit last week and it felt a bit laggy then maybe a bit quick.

my big turbo made roughly 100lbsft less than you at the same hp when i did my first base run.
