    spherical bearing and aluminum

Guys I am looking for a spherical bearing and aluminum weld on boss, I have looked through google and only found bits and bobs. It must be larger than M10 that's about the only stipulation.

    Thanks in advance

I was searching for spherical bearings last night, try here:-

Timken Aurora Bearings rod ends and spherical bearings deliver precision, long life, and dependable performance for industrial and aerospace

Give us a bit more of a clue on the weld on boss.

Off the shelf would be alittle cheaper, but alot of the bearings are Made with a resesse in so that a circlip can be fitted or even tappered for press fit. I don't really want to have to ask for favours with a weld on boss I can be done Monday

James are you thinking of making a short Shifter.

I made a short shifter with a spherical bearing from Mcgill motorsport parts. I used a 5/8 sherical bearing with a steel housing with the high misalignment bushes like the ones in your pic.

I welded the steel housing to the base plate of the original 6 speed shifter.

Now i need to work out how to make a gate for reverse.

I'll get some pics or have i jumped the gun a bit

I put multiple circlips above and below the bearing so the throw is adjustable but because i made the lever so long it's in the position for maximum throw. I wanted the gaer knob nearer the steering wheel

This is just my first attempt so i didnt fully weld the bearing housing on the base plate.

TBH the parts from mcgill motorsport were very low quality, there's no way i'd want that stuff anywhere near my wishbones they are just cheap chinese bearings probably good enough for a shifter though.
