    Vernier Calipers

    Hello All,
I decided I needed a digital vernier calipers recently. Having considered the options and the ammount of use I have for them now I decided to go for the cheap & cheerful option.
I opted for this item on the bay and I think it's a good little item for DIY use.

The accuracy is 0.02mm which is comparable with say a mitutoyo. The repeatability is 0.01mm on the specs which is where the mitutoyo would win hands down. When I opened it to max and closed it again 20 times it went from showing 0.00mm at closed to -0.04mm.

    Subtotal: £2.50
    Postage & packaging: £3.45
    Total: £5.95

Dispatched within 2 days and delivered from China (I assume) in 15 days.

Might be useful to some. (NCTS).

Have used the set you specified, which I bought three years ago, trouble free. Of course they will now be broken when I go to use them next......

A decent set of Mitutoyo vernier calipers are accurate down to .001mm, which is basically 1 micron, and they would set you back at least £200

Very true, I should have said "a basic mitutoyo at about £50." There's likely to be 10 microns of dust on anything I'd be measuring with this very-near calipers in any case.
